Helpppp pleaseeeeeee my iphone 4 wont restore

i backed my SHSH BLOBS UP..WAS TRYING TO UPGRADE TO THE 4.2 THEN DOWNGRADE BACK TO 4.1 AND WHEN I TRIED TO UPDATE IT WONT LET ME RESTORE MY PHONE....


CAN SOMEONE HELP PLEASE...THE ERROR MESSAGE IS 1013

i copied over the ATT carrier bundle so i was basically trying to update to 4.2 but it wont let me restore... i backed up my blobs and they are on my desktop but i have NO idea why my phone is giving me the error 1013...any idea why? and what i can do to fix it IYEOW?

Have you updated your itunes yet ? You can download your fw from here :

Hold Shift + restore to the 4.2.1 ipsw to upgrade.

Do not use the update option, if it is giving you the problem.

yes i have the current itunes... my phone is stuck in recovery mode...it says itunes and have the ipod cable showing... i cant do anything... my iphone 4 os was the 4.1...

Yup, you are in recovery and you can restore to the latest firmare.
If you have tiny umbrella, open it > go to advance and uncheck the box : set hosts file to cydia upon exit > save it and close it.
Do the restore again.

im on a mac...i opened itunes and i hit shift and nothing happened

17) any error that occurs after restoring/upgrading such as 1011, 1012, 1013, 1015, and 1004 are just baseband change failure. This can by ignored. Simply use TinyUmbrella's exit recovery mode option to kick device out of recovery mode. Then continue the steps that follow.

im not sure what exactly im doing wrong..but when i did the tinyumbrella command im having the same problem... ok if you guys are kind enough to help me id appreciate it..thanks to lombardo joe and iyeow..... i have the custom firmware and tinyumbrella along with the latest itunes....can someone explain to me step by step pls.. i know its alot but id really appreciate it

OK it updated to the 4.2.1 but i want to go back to 4.1....how do i do that?????? thats the only thing im having problems with

On a PC : Shift + restore.
On a Mac : Option/Alt + restore , a box should pop up for you to browse.

Did you get your ECID SHSH from when you had 4.1? Because without it, you're stuck on 4.2.1.

it wont let me go back ...it says error my device is not eligable to downgrade...but i have the blobs on my desktop

Then it should be doable. I've never done it before, so I'm thinking iYeow will have to walk you through that one.

yes i have the sh blogs ... i even emailed them to myself with the shshblob they had on cydia

Ok, run tiny umbrella, highlight your device and highlight your 4.1 shsh blobs.
Now start Tss server.
Run redsn0w 0.9.6b6 and browse to stock 4.2.1 ipsw.
Check only the box : DFU mode only
Once DFU mode is achieved.
Open up itunes and shift/Option/Alt + restore to stock 4.1 ipsw
Exit recovery when error 1015 pops up from the feature of TU.
Now you are in emergency screen.
You put in your official sim to activate
Jailbreak with Limera1n or GreenPoison.

i downloaded tinyumbrella and updated my blobs...but idk how to put it back to 4.1 im a bit confused ((((
