Default Cydia Crashes and Cant access system files.. what do I do?

I have an iphone 2g running 3.1.2. I tried getting on cydia today and it crashes when it starts. I recently restored my phone so I dont have ssh or mobile terminal so I have no way of fixing cydia. I Tried restoring without backing up and cydia continues to crash. Ive just about ran out of ideas. What can I do?? Thanks

Put your iphone into recovery mode and hit restore in itunes. It will take you to 3.1.3.
Jailbreak with Redsn0w 0.9.4 but browse to stock 3.1.2 ipsw.
You need BL 3.9 and BL 4.6 to help you unlock.
There is a guide on this website under guide section for 2g iphone.
