Need help with Jailbreaking and such.

Hi, i recently updated my ipod touch 4g to version 4.2.1.
I can't seem to find a jailbreak that is working, greenpois0n puts it on a blank screen, limera1n stops on a certain part, and redsn0w is tethered.

Before I updated, I had waited a while thinking I would be able to find another jailbreak, as I was on limera1n on 4.1 firmware. But I found nothing.

I was looking to find some way to downgrade but I need to have saved SHSH in cydia. I never saved my own so if it did or not I don't know.

Is there any way I can downgrade, or have an untethered jailbreak for my ipod? The model is a C3. ** I don't want a tethered jailbreak as I take my ipod out on trips, and if it dies, then i'm screwed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do believe that the only jb for a iPod touch 4g is tethered at the moment.

Hmmm, i really don't want to do a tethered jailbreak, as I am going to mexico, and if it dies. Its ******.
