Default [HELP!!] iPhone 3G restored to 4.2.1

So yesterday my iPhone 3G all of a sudden wouldn't turn on. I didn't do anything out of the usual. It's been unlock on 3.1.2. Since it stopped turning on, the apple store restored it to 4.1.2. I'm guessing the SHSH is saved. Can I still unlock this iPhone? Or can I not due to the baseband update?

    Thanks in advance

Your firmware is 4.2.1 not 4.1.2. The current bassband cannot be unlock.
You can run redsn0w 0.9.6b6 : install Cydia , update ipad bb.
Once jailbroken, you can unlock with Ultrasn0w. Do at your own risk, doing this method will not allow you to restore to any future stock fw of 4.2.1 or higher.
You will also void your warranty of this iphone.
