is it ok to update iPhone 3G to iOS 4.2.1?
I don't want to make the same mistake I did with the last iOS on my iPhone 3G.
I have iOS 4.1 now and when I plugged the phone into iTunes today is said there was a new update.
Can I safely update to 4.2.1 and if so, should I still use redsnow?
Where do I get the latest redsnow?
Thanks

If you do not need an unlock, then you can restore to 4.2.1 and jailbreak it with Redsn0w from here : Dev-Team Blog

Do you mean a carrier unlock?
If so then I don't need that as I have AT&T as my carrier.
What version of redsnow do I need to do this properly?
Thanks

That is interesting news. Thanks
Actually with my college schedule I may not even be able to get to it until near Christmas anyway
