    Default I'm still rocking v2.1.1

Ok, so I have found such little use of my iTouch, that my 4yr old has gotten more use out of it! But for a while now, I have not been able to add new games for her.

So, I had bought version 3.0 for $5 some time ago, and I called up apple support to ask why it wasn't upgrading. They tried to say I was attempting to jailbreak it!! Hell no! I paid for this firmware while iPhone got it for free!!

So they say I can only upgrade to version 4.2, but I have read that 2nd gen iTouch's have issues sometimes.

Can anyone help me to upgrade to version 3.0, or 3.1.3 from my current v2.1.1? I have read that itunes does not sign it, that is why I am getting an error.

    Any advice would be helpful!

Download the firmware you want from here and try to shift-click restore to it in itunes.
