How do I jailbreak my 2g iphone to 4.0?

I've seen the guides but none of them say it's for a 2g. Mine's on 3.1.3 firmware and jailbroken. I've tried using limera1n and green poison and both haven't worked and I had to kick my phone out of recovery mode. Any answers please?

There is no 4.0 on a 2g iphone, your final fw is 3.1.3. Use the guide on this website to jailbreak if you haven't done so.
