    Default iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak

Okay, so I'm pretty much completely lost.

I have an iPhone 4 previously running iOS 4.1 and my phone completely crashed, forcing me to restore, updating me to iOS 4.2.1. I had no idea what blobs were, (now I do of course) so I cannot downgrade.

Is there anyway for me to jailbreak without blobs? Also, is a computer necessary when I do a soft reboot (respring) or only a reboot/power off?

    Thanks

You can jailbreak with redsnow 0.9.6b6, but it will be a tethered jailbreak.

Tried that...cydia is a blank white app and crashes right away (cydia, not iphone).

Think I should try to restore and rejailbreak?

No, you have to run redsnow again and just choose the boot tethered option
