Iphone 4 on 4.1 but its not hashed....advice?

Just got a new iPhone 4, 4.1. Could only get 4.2.1 hashed so i'm just wondering what should I do?

1. Should I surrender and just go to 4.2.1 and have a tethered phone?

2. If i enter pwned dfu mode, will my phone accept a custom 4.1 firmware?

Any other ideas?

You can jailbreak your 4.1 with limera1n if you want untethered jailbreak.
If you don't mind untethered, then you can restore to 4.2.1 and get untethered jailbreak using the latest redsn0w.

The current Pwnage tools does not support iphone 4, so you don't have any tool to build a custom fw for it.
Any other ideas?

Yes I can jailbreak 4.1 with limera1n\redsn0w and have it be untethered, but if anything ever goes wrong, i'll have to go to 4.2.1, yeah?

If i use redsn0w to 'enter pwned dfu mode' and i attempt to restore a custom 4.1 fw (latest pwnagetool makes 4.1, and i have a guide on how to make 4.2.1 custom)will my phone accept the 4.1 custom even though 4.1 is not hashed?

No true, if you are at jailbroken 4.1 and needed a restore, you can always restore to custom firmware of 4.1 as long as you don't need to flash your 4.1 baseband.

I'll see if i can Jailbreak then enter pwned dfu mode then restore to a custom 4.1 fw then. here goes nothing

update: custom firmware wont work for 4.1. looks like i have to jb via redsn0w, did. Heres to hoping for 4.2.1 untethered. problem solved, thanks
