firmware w/bb 06.15.00
i recently upgraded my iphone 3g to firmware 4.2 and jailbroke it with redsn0w. i selected the upgrade to ipads baseband during install so i could then unlock it.
it was working perfectly until yesterday when i turned on my iphone it just froze and didnt do anything. i tried everything but it just wont function.
so i need to do a restore but i need one that will allow the 06.15.00 baseband as i believe you can't downgrade from this baseband.
any suggestions people?

thanks for response. i installed 3.1.3 firmware. just tried to install it and hit a 1600 error. i entered dfu mode then in itunes pointed to the 3.1.3 firmware to restore.
i also tried putting my phone in dfu mode, starting up ireb. hitting iphone 3g where i would then see a white screen followed by a green screen. i then went back into itunes and restored. i encountered a 21 error then.
what shall i do?Last edited by jamos316; 12-02-2010 at 08:24 AM.

You tried a regular 3.1.3 firmware?

It doesnt matter. Just downgrade to 3.1.3 regular. You will get a 1015 error, just use tiny umbrella to kick out of recovery then you can go about activating with a official sim or jailbreaking and hacktivating with redsn0w 0.9.4.

You can go back to 4.2.1 with a custom firmware if you want

You need to run redsn0w or pwnage tool and get either of them to put the phone into pwned dfu before you can restore to a custom firmware.
