    Default Help - Please!!!

I just got a new iphone 4. My company upgraded me from the 3 to the 4. I love the phone (much faster), but want to know if my company is spying on me (I suspect that they might be). I have read a lot about "Mobile Spy" and some of the other programs that are out there, and they all seem to require that the phone be "Jail Broken" prior to installation of the spy app. Please let me know how I can tell if my phone is being spied on, or if it has been jail broken. Please share any info that you can regarding my situation.

    Thank you.

    Welcome to MMi,
I was just reading and I don't believe the phone has to be jailbroken to use this, I may have missed something though.
If your phone has Cydia app on it, it is jailbroken, most all jailbreaks install Cydia automatically.
    here's a link, may help

LOL If you are that worried about it just backup and restore. Then install JUST the apps you want. I wouldn't think an app, even a spy app, would stay on after a restore unless you put it there.

^yup, you could do that, just restore in iTunes and it will put a fresh OS on and remove everything else, sync before you do this to get your contacts back. Set up as a new phone, do not restore from a back up.

Thank you -I will try restoring.

Regarding Cydia - the Mobile Spy site instructions state that after jail breaking and installing Cydia, you neded to "Hide" the Cydia icon. How is this done, and how is it reversed so I can see it if it is there?

you can hide icons through SBsettings, if it installed on your phone.

Try tapping and holding the status bar is (the one with the signal on it) and see if SBsettings drops down. If not try double tapping there.

If it does drop down then there is a option to hid icons in there And if it does drop down your phone is jailbroken

    Pratt,

Thank you for trying to help, but I don't know how to access SBsettings. Can you explain a little bit more - I'm not a phone afficianado just yet.

    Thanks

You swipe across the top status bar to drop down sbsettings menu.
