Lost springboard wallpaper on jailbreak

As title...

iPhone 3, iOS4.1, jailbroken with Redsnow 0.96
Works fine and Lockscreen shows selected wallpaper..

However the wallpaper does not display on springboard (ie where all the icons are!)

It looks like a setting has got corrupted. I can see (and place) wallpapers in system/library/wallpaper but they don't display..

Where is the file to edit that will toggle this please?

I can obviously SSH and use iPhone explorer to get into the phone..
