Default Help! DFU mode not recognized on iPhone 3G

I've been trying to jailbreak my iPhone 3G for sometime now and I follow the instructions with limera1n, greenpois0n and redsnow and when the phone goes into DFU mode it is not picked up by none of the jailbreak softwares. I've tried with an iPod touch and it worked with greenpois0n and limera1n. But no luck with my iPhone is there something that can be done to fix this problem? Also I tried this on 3 computers and no luck.

I'm trying to jailbreak 4.1, I also tried uninstalling all apple drivers and itunes and I reinstalled everything and I'm still having the same problem. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or if it's the iphone not operating properly. I also restored the iphone multiple times to stock 4.1 and still no luck. Any ideas?

Have you tried irecovery to get iPhone into DFU? It helped me when nothing else worked.

If you're sure the phone is in DFU, then iTunes is probably toast. Most of the times, reloading rewrites and fixes things right up.

yea the phone is definitly in dfu mode I checked the driver and it says apple dfu driver. But the thing is I'm trying this on multiple pcs with no luck. I'm not sure if its the new itunes or what, but I clean the registry and still no luck. I removed and installed everything again on another pc and no luck. Maybe I need to try it on a mac.
