Need to Restore & Down Grade ...Help!!!!!
I have a Iphone 4 that's on 4.0.1 Recently I updated an app and it wouldn't boot up after that. It gets stuck on the apple logo screen then it has that round circle going round and round for about 1 min then if just re-boots and goes in a circle.
I didn't save my SHSH blobs with Tinyumbrella.
But I think Cydia Might have backed up My SHSH blobs.
I've edited and Saved my Host file in Windows to 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
But Every time I try to downgrade with itunes it gives me this error:
The Iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An Unknown error occurred (3194)
I don't Know what to do know...As I'm running out of options. And I don't won't to go on the New 4.2.1 firmware

I am in a similar boat, only I am on JB 4.0 Hoping there is a way to kick myself out of this Apple logo BS.

If you guys don't have shsh for 4.1 and have only 4.2.1 shsh blogs.
Go download tiny umbrella and save the 4.2.1 shsh blogs. Use the Tss Server to help you to restore to stock 4.2.1, you might be able to preserve your baseband of 4.0.

You don't have to be at the firmware to save your shsh blogs via TU.
As long as your iphone is bootable, all you need is to run TU, highlight your device and click save shsh , all available and current shsh will be downloaded and saved onto your pc.
Go check it now and see what you have.
You should get familiarize wiht TU, you never know , you might have 4.1 shsh blogs.Last edited by iYeow; 12-01-2010 at 11:52 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

If you have used tiny umbrella before, then you don't need a bootable iphone, all your info is in there. You don't even have to plug your iphone in. Go check tiny umbrella and see i what i mean.
If you have never used tu before, then you have to manually input your ECID to retrieve your shsh blogs.

Click Start Tss server.
