    Question iPhone 3G

    Hi Everyone,
    I have an iPhone 3g
    VERSION 3.1.3
    MODEL MB702LL
    FIRMWARE 05.12.01

It is currently Jailbroken and Unlocked but i am not able to use it to my full advantage because Cydia is/has been crashing. should I restore my iPhone and re-jailbreak it? if so, can someone please point me towards the right direction in doing this? also, should I upgrade to OS4.0? thank you in advance

IOS 4.0 is a bad choice, too slow and lag until your iphone freeze up because lack of speed and Ram. IOS 4.1 is slightly better.
For 3g, if you don't want problems, you should restore to 3.1.3 again and jailbreak it with Redsn0w 0.9.4 but browse to 3.1.2 ipsw.

Great, I have been hearing that so thank you for confirming!! now that I'm aware that I need to restore and re-jailbreak my iPhone, should I do that through iTunes? I still have the old version of iTunes installed.

Itunes 8.2 or higher is good for 3.1.3 restore.
