Bricked 3Gs...Need to get in to retrieve files before restore

I was messing with Cydia and rebooted, but now all I have is the Sn0wbreeze logo on boot.

Is there any way to unbrick the phone without doing a total restore? I haven't backed up the pictures on this iphone since I was syncing with my wife's iphone for a while and I don't want to lose all the cute pics of my kids.

Only if you can go into safe mode and then uninstall whatever your last installed app from Cydia.

Saddly it will not go into safemode. Is there any app to let me get through? I remember iReb used to stop the constand rebooting...but this is a bit different.

Then you will have to restore to custom firmware again. Sometimes it makes things easier if you tell me what firmware you are at.

I'm on 4.0. I used Sn0wbreeze. I started to enter into DFU mode, but I see a modified DFU that looks like sn0wbreeze style. Any chance I can get it to reboot now?

How about this method :
Download Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 and download 4.1 ipsw.
Check the box Dfu mode only.
Once dfu mode is done, open up itunes and shift + restore to this activated custom firmare of 4.1 which is in your PM box.

I have the EXACT same problem, except that i am on a Iphone 4, firmware 4.1 was prior jailbroken.

Got stuck at the boot screen after installing a messed up app from cydia, now it won't boot.

I followed your previous instructions right up to the CFW in the PM box thing.

Now my iphone whenever rebooted automatically shows the restore to itunes logo.

I need to restore with a custom firmware in order to be able to backup my photos, videos and messages right?
