iPhone 4 jailbreak options?

Ive been out of the jailbreak loop for a while now.. I was jail breaking my 2G years ago, a little with my 3G, and just now getting back into it with my iPhone 4.

I am jail broken on 4.0.1(A8306) from jailbreakme.com - my phone tells me the modem firmware is 1.59.00

Should I stay here? I mostly modded for MyWi (or any other tethering app) but I feel like I am missing out on some of the little perks from 4.2 - ive also been having issues getting some of the themes ive downloaded to work properly.

Do I have any options as far as upgrading and still being able to jail break? and is there a cydia upgrade also?

I know its some noob stuff im asking but i appreciate any help I can get.

If you do not need an unlock, then restore to 4.1 with shsh blogs using Tss Server from Tiny Umbrella.
If Apple is still signing 4.1, then you can just shift + restore to 4.1 ipsw.
Jailbreak it with either GreenPoison or Limera1n at 4.1

ya im on AT&T so no need to unlock.. so what your saying is just download a 4.1 ipsw -> shift restore -> jailbreak with one of those programs?

was i correct in my understanding that there is a updated cydia also?

got the 3194 when I tryed to shift restore with itunes.

Download tiny umbrella , plug your iphone in.
If your iphone is in recovery , use Exit recovery.
select your device and click save shsh.

Run tiny and point it to 4.1 (you should have downloaded a 4.1 FW)and Shift restore to the 4.1 you have downloaded. You may get an error but if you tell Tiny to kick it out of recovery when you get the error you will still be at 4.1 (with you old baseband)

Then jailbreak with Geenpois0n or Limera1n
