greenpois0n keeps failing over and over

im on a 3GS 4.1, new bootrom. greenpois0n keeps on failing for me. the screen gets white after the process. i am following the instructions perfectly... doesn't the greenpois0n work on all devices? i had an issue with limera1n, so i restored and was gonna jb with greenpois0n. but it's apparently not happening.

just to make sure, the phone must be totally off, right? for greenpois0n? it says power off your device and connect... well when i connect it while off it powers on.

turn it off whilst it's plugged in.

i looked at the tute, i just did it again, and it failed. i have no clue why this is failing. i follow the instructions to a T.

ok, ill try, but i dont exactly get how redsnow works. i can't find the download. i already have the 4.1 ispw (my phone is already on 4.1 btw, and cydia has those shsh blobs)

Links for redsnow are on the dev team blog i linked you to under update 2. When using redsnow all you should be worried with is installing cydia. Do not use any of the other options.

Ok it worked, got my phone jailbroken. however it used the limera1n exploit i guess, and that is causing the same problem i had before. for some reason, idk if its a limera1n thing, which is why i wanted to break with gp, but when i use the apple composite cables to view on TV, it doesn't work. once i restored to 4.1 non jb, the tv out worked. ive done before with a jb device, so its either limera1n, or just being jailbroken on 4.x

greenpoison uses the limera1n exploit too so if it is that causing the issue greenpoison wont help.

ah ok, anyway, thanks for the help. time to get everything back from cydia again. do u know if theres a way to contact the devs for the limera1n exploit, maybe there's a patch for this issue?

I doubt it. Your best bet is to do a search around here to see if anyone else has this issue or try googling it.
