Exclamation iPhone 3gs stuck in recovery

After trying alot of things in this thread, I just realized my iPhone may be stuck in recovery. How exactly do you kick it out of it?
Its current stuck in the connection cable to iTunes screen, and doing that only brings up the restore notification. Restoring usually takes up to 20 minutes on the "Preparing to restore" screen then gives a 160X error. Help?

i have the same thing with my 3g, you can download tiny umbrella to get yourself out of recovery, it worked for my other phone but this one just goes right back into recovery.
anyway, tiny umbrella has an 'exit recovery' button. maybe you'll have better luck.

yeah, same here. i was hoping you may have better luck than i did. damn.

hey were you able to fix this? i finally got mine working. i had to upgrade to 4.2.1 using redsnow, then my phone was stuck in recovery, then i downgraded to stock 4.1. it gave me the 1015 error, i kicked it out of recovery, then re ran redsn0w and didn't select the upgrade baseband option. now it is working on 4.2 and 06.15.00
