new unlock confusion question

ok so i have a 3g and a 3gs on 4.1

i need to unlock them so can i just use the new redsnow coming out or do i need to update it to 4.2.1 and then use the redsnow ?

id like to keep 4.1 cause i hear 4.2 jb is tethered let me know yall, thanks alot

the new unlock ultrasn0w 6.15 didnt work on 3gs 4.1 wounder why they said it should work but no luck so far maybe some one can help here\

You need to wait for the new redsn0w to come out. Keep 4.1. The new redsn0w will be out within the next 2 hours and will give you a 6.15 baseband to be unlocked.
