I have installed irssi on both my iPhone 2G 3.1.3 and iPhone 3G 4.1 both from Cydia 0.8.12

Now for some reason the irssi on the 2G refuses to ever connect whether you give it the DNS or IP of the IRC server.

Yet the irssi works perfectly on the 3G, connecting with no issues.

Virtually other than being different firmware versions, they have the exact same software installed from Cydia and other various settings are the same.
