Need Directions for 3GS Older Version Jailbreak.

I have an older boot rom of the 3GS and my friend told me there was a working jailbreak unteathered, that I am interested in. I tried looking around but keep getting confused, looking for a good guide! Any directions or links would be great, thanks!

To keep baseband for unlock:
You can use PwnageTool 4.1 if you are on a Mac. Cook up a custom firmware and then shift + restore to it in iTunes. Or if you are on Windows, you can use redsn0w to put your iPhone into the custom DFU mode, and then restore to a custom firmware created by PwnageTool (find from a trustworthy source!).

No unlock:
