I jailbroke my Iphone 3G about a year or so ago using redsn0w at the time.
It is on 3.0.1 and the baseband is 4.26.08.
Having read the many guides just wanted to confirm the process to upgrade this already jailbroken device to 3.1.3 and jailbreak it.
Download the original 3.1.3 os, use sn0wbreeze (is it fine to use the 2.0.1 version?) to create custom os. Using the restore function in itunes select the custom created os and hey presto all is fine? Baseband will not be updated and I can still use ultrasn0w for carrier unlock?

Will this method result in my baseband being changed? Also is it any use going up to 4.0 and above based on past experience? Thank you for the fast reply... Just waiting for some advice about doing my touch 3g
