    Default iPhone fails to boot

Hi all, my iPhone 2G running on 3.1.3 (sn0wbreeze) is failing to boot. Every time I start it up, the logo comes up for some time and eventually the phone just turns off instead of booting. I cannot restore anything via iTunes since I get the 1611 error. Could anyone help me fix this issue?

Try installing a regular 3.1.3 firmware and not the custom one. Then after you can use redsn0w 0.9.4 to jailbreak again. Sn0wbreeze can be a bit buggy sometimes.

I mean, it's been jailbroken and unlocked fine for the past 6 months or so, I'm not sure why there would be any problems. Also I have tried restoring to the regular 3.1.3 firmware, but now iTunes gives me the 1611 error every time I try to restore. (I used sn0wbreeze a long time ago, when the restore worked for me).
Is there a way to fix the 1611 error or some other way to restore my phone to regular 3.1.3?

You can try it on another computer

    or

You can try using iReb to get past the 16XX error

Where can I find the version of iReb that I need? The iH8sn0w website only appears to have the one for 4.X.

I would try on another computer, but I do not have access to one, unfortunately.

Okay it seemed like that would work, however after downloading iREB 3.1.3, putting my phone into DFU mode, I click on iPhone 2G and nothing happens at all... I know it says to wait a few seconds, but I've waited much longer than that and it is not doing anything...

Make sure itunes is closed before you put the iphone in dfu and make sure it stays closed then try again.

Have you tried putting it in dfu them just getting itunes to download and install the 3.1.3 firmware, instead of picking it yourself with shift-click?

Yes, but that still results in the 1611 error.
I'm running iTunes 10, so could that be causing any problems, whatsoever? (64-bit Vista, btw)

Sounds like it could be a hardware issue or something is up with your computer. Try different usb slots or a different cable. If still nothing your last shot may be trying another computer when you can get to one.
