3gs problem

Was searching forums for " cydia not loading" after blackra1n but could not find anything exactly like my situation

ok i have a 3gs 32 gig 3.1.2 bb 05.11.07 model mc137LL (should b old bootrom)that i have from a friend. never been jailbroken / unlocked so no blobs saved. i ran tiny umbrella no blobs saved......

so i ran blackra1n exe. phone appears to jailbroken. went ahead and loaded cydia. rebooted..... cydia and blackrain icons on spring board. went to run cydia first time. started loading the release then looked like half way through it froze and crashed. tried running a few more times but just keep crashing and or loading then crash.
what are my options to repair?? no blobs saved....
1. rerun blackra1n?
2. can i load a custom firmware and run tiny umbrella set to local host? or u still need the blobs??
3.anyway to get in with a browser iphone explorer etc???
4. wait for 4.2 jail/unlock

any help would b most appreciative ,,,,,

Your only option is to restore to a custom firmware of 4.1 to maintain your baseband for unlock.
Download Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 and download the stock 3gs, 4.1 ipsw
Run redsn0w and browse to this stock 4.1 ipsw.
Check only the box DFU mode only.
Click next to proceed to get you into DFU mode
Once you are in DFU mode
Open up Itunes and Do the Shift + restore to this custom fw of 4.1 created by Pwnage tools 4.1.2( In your PM box)
Once restored , you are already jailbroken at 4.1
Installl Ultrasn0w to unlock from Cydia.

Ya do as Yeow is suggesting, Blackra1n doesnt install a working cydia anymore.

thanks for the reply's guys so let me get this right i dont need blob back ups then to run 4.1 custom firm???
just itunes ? i am at 9.2 right now upgrade to 10???
but they released 4.2? will itunes let me load 4.1 custom??

Apple is still signing 4.1 right now so you will be able to shift-click restore to it. Yes you should update to itunes 10.1.

You should save your 4.1 SHSH with tiny umbrella now if you havent already.

You don't need shsh blogs using CFW. Just do as I say and you will be on your way to a jailbroken at IOS 4.1 and unlocked with Ultrasn0w.

If you have a Mac, you can build one from Pwnage tools 4.1.2

OR you can use Snowbreeze 2.1 to build one yourself.
Use ireb 4.1 Release 2 to put you into DFU mode
Do the Shift + restore to this custom firmware of 4.1

In the meantime update your itunes to latest and save your 4.1 SHSH with tiny umbrella. Then wait until you can get the custom firmware from Yeow.

i have tiny umb 4.o is there a newer one? no option in advanced for 4.1 only 4.0

do i need to run the server when i custom firm the phone?
and do i need to put the file in win somewhere to point to sauriks server? where and how???

No you dont need to run the server when you do it. Tiny umbrella will automatically change your hosts to cydia when you close it out.

i was also trying to save the shsh in the advanced tab to my local doc settings. didnt change anything does it take a while to save? seemes like its been running for a long time.....

HAVE IREB DOWNLAODED
have stock 4.1 ipsw downloaded
STILL CANT GET IYEOW CUSTOM FIRM FROM MEGA

SO SHOULd USE snowbreeze 2.1?
and still use ireb 4.1 before running shift restore to put phone into dfu?
what to set snowbreeze to? i need unlock sure... what else to click if any??

Don't worry , when you build your snowbreeze , it will not touch your baseband. Go ahead and build one. I am going to upload again but it will take atleast an hour or more to upload.
So go ahead and do you ireb and snowbreeze thing to see what happen.
If you want to wait, come back for the my upload.

Yes you can make your own custom 4.1 with sn0wbreeze. Use ireb to put it in dfu then shift restore to the custom firmware in iTunes
