iPhone stops while upgrading to 4.2

I have an iPhone 4 which has been previously jailbroken running 4.1. I decided that I would prefer what 4.2 has to offer over what I do with my jailbreak so I went ahead and tried to upgrade. The status bar on itunes is near finished and the status bar on my iphone gets about 60% of the way and then it just stops. Itunes does not freeze and neither does my computer. I've tried force quitting itunes and reopening. I've tried restarting my computer and doing a hard reboot with my iPhone. I have tried restoring in both restore mode and DFU mode. I have tried to restore using the 4.2 ipsw and the 4.0.1 ipsw. I have not done the 4.1 ipsw because I couldn't find it to download from the internet. Everything I've tried gets me the same result. iTunes saying "Restoring iPhone software" and my iPhone stuck with the apple logo and the status bar about 60% done. Any suggestions? My SHSH is on file but I don't know how to restore using that method. Thanks for the help.

If you have wifi sync installed, uninstall it.

I don't, I can't get to anything on my iPhone even if I did though. It just says connect to iTunes

You can get your 4.1 firmware here : iClarified - iPhone - Where To Download iPhone Firmware Files From
If you have another computer, try restoring again on a diff computer.
