jailbroken iPhone + iHome radio=ipod crashing

so i just picked up an iHome iP90 clock radio thing. Im using an iPhone 3g, jailbroken with redsnow. I have tried getting this ihome to play my music every sort of way, but it always ends up crashign my ipod.app and until i do a total restart (not even a respring) will it work again. the unit charges just fine. anyone have any other issues with 3rd party devices ?

Make sure you close all other apps to ensure enough memory on your 3g iphone.

Brought it back already. I usually research anyway instead of buying on a whim. I'm sure there's one out there that works fine.
