Question about upgrading

hi im on 4.0.1 and i want to upgrade to 4.1 because im having prob with the prox sensor my phone is JB and i dont want to do a restore and loose all my theme and my apps an non of that is there a way to upgrade w/o loosing non of that?

Download pkgbckup from cydia.. run it upgrade to 4.1 jailbreak re download pkgbckup run it and all your jailbroken stuff will be back on your device

After you have backup from pkgbackup, sync with your itunes first before you do a restore. Once you have jailbroken your iphone after the restore, install pkgbackup and sync your itunes again. Now open up pkgbackup and click restore in pkgbackup.

now that 4.2 is out, is it still possible for someone with 4.01 to upgrade to 4.1 + jailbreak?

Yes apple is still signing 4.1 as for now

If you have your 4.1 shsh blogs saved, you can restore anytime you want.
