How to jailbreak iOS 4.0.2 (4.1)
Hello, this is the only way i know how to Jailbreak 4.0.2
1.Update it to 4.1 get 4.1 from here.

Touch 4g http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/06...8_Restore.ipsw

iPhone 3gs http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/06...7_Restore.ipsw

Err.... limera1n can jailbreak 4.0.2 without upgrading.
Also worth mentioning, if you upgrade to 4.1 stock that it wouldn't be possible for an unlocker to unlock their phone anymore.
It would make sense to upgrade with custom firmware rather than stock.

Take it easy, I'm not trying to have a go. But this is a forum under iPhone. You advising and providing links to stock apple firmware could cause unlockers problems. iPhone unlockers must use custom firmware when upgrading to 4.1 until a new unlock tool comes out. If iPhone 4 user upgrades to 4.1 it's even conceivable they will never be able to unlock their phones again. Originally Posted by YoungMane
