HELP!! cant restore iphone 4 4.01 (jailbreak)

HELP i cant restore my iphone4 ive jailbroken it but im trying to upgrade to 4.1 and it wont work error message 1602 1604 on itunes.
tried 'ireb' my stuck

no im not. im new it this. all i no is i cant upgrade my iphone because its a jailbreak. stuck

You are trying to restore to a custom firmware though right?

Yeh tried custom 4.1

Try using redsnow 0.9.6b3 to enter pwned dfu state then restoring to the custom firmware again. Seems to work better than ireb. You will need a copy of a regular 4.1 firmware to put into redsnow too.

If you need unlock, then restore to 4.1 using Tss Server from Tiny Umbrella to preserve your baseband , then once restored, use Limera1n or GreenPosion to jailbreak.
