Help needed upgrading jailbreak

Hi all,

I have jailbreak on my 4.0.1 3gs iphone.

I want to upgrade to get the game center, but i never done this before, i needed help with step by step guide on how to do this.

Any help will be apreciated, thank you in advance.

edit: it is unlocked and i whould like to keep it unlocked.

But now how can i get my photos, contacts and apps back on the iphone?

If you had them synced to your computer before you just sync them back. Or you can restore your latest backup from itunes.
