That sounds like it is unzipped. You dont want it like that, it isnt supposed to be a folder, it is supposed to be one file. Do you have the original .zip file since I am assuming that is how it downloaded.

ok. When I open up redsnow and search for the zip file it does not show up in the Pwnage folder but it is there! I guess I just cant get it. And if I just open up the Pwnage folder from the desktop it is there but its still zipped and its not the icon that u showed.

That means it is a .zip file. You need it to be a .ipsw.

Go to your start menu and type folder options. Click on folder options when it comes up. Click the view tab and uncheck the box that says "hide extensions for known filetypes and click apply. You should now be able to see the .zip extension on that file. Change it to .ipsw.

ok changed the folder option and saved....just clarifying....I right clicked on the zip file ->properties and there I change ".zip" to ".ipsw"?

No, you should be able to see the .zip in the filename now. Click on the file so that you can change the name and change it from .zip to .ipsw

Oh and do I need to have itunes up during this next step?
