trying to downgrade 3g/4.0
I'm trying to downgrade my 3g 4.0 carrier att 7.0
baseband 05.13.04-6 using itune 9
getting error firmware not compatible
I'm trying to downgrade to 3.0. I'm looking for free teathering
I jailbroke the 4.0 if that helps.
What did I do wrong ? or.... is there a way around this to get free teathering ?

a firmware not compatible error means you are trying to use a firmware that isn't for your phone

You need to update your itunes from 9.0 to 9.2 to work with IOS 4.0

You mean restoring without Itunes, NO
For 3g, you can just shift + restore to 3.xx anytime, you don't need shsh blogs
When you shift + restore to 3.0, error 1015 will pop up, just kick out of recovery from the feature of TU.Last edited by iYeow; 11-11-2010 at 01:07 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

When I hit shift on the restore button it just brings up documents. I really want to downgrade my iPod from 4.1 but I can't figure out how

I'm really just trying to get free teathering, the 3.0 firmware will do that
is there another way ?
