Upgrade iPhone 3.1.3 to 4.1 Jailbreak
What's the easiest way to upgrade my phone, jailbroken with Cydia to version 4.1?

I looked at that but I couldn't see how to get it to upgrade... and I can't upgrade through itunes then rebreak cause it wants to put on 4.2 which as far as I know isn't jailbroken yet :-/

Really? I just upgraded to 4.1 half an hour ago. If you download the firmware, it should still be verifying 4.1.
If you open Cydia, does it have a list of SHSH blobs saved? If it's saved for 4.1, you're clear.

Hmm, now itunes is saying 3.1.3 is the current software...
UPDATE: I didn't dl the new itunes LOL :-X

The model is MA712 i can't figure out what that is. I got it for free from a friend who got a new one

Ok I don't know what that means. You don't know what kind of iPhone you have?
Ok, I just looked it up. It's a 2G. It's got a silver backing and a black bottom part right?

Ok well can you confirm the phone has a silver backing and black bottom portion?

For a 2g , the latest firmware will be 3.1.3 and no more future upgrades and support from Apple on this 2g iphone, period
