Upgrading Cydia - Losing data

hey guys, first of all fantastic site, and great contributors, I have just purchased the g.o.c 3.5 theme, top work!

I have spent most my day doing various hacks etc to my iPhone and now I see version 4.2 coming out, im running a 3g.

so how do I save all my mods I have done today so i can transfer them easily over when I upgrade to version 4.2 with the new Cydia?

Or do i have to go through the whole process again when i upgrade 4.2 and Cydia?

You can use Pkgbackup to restore back your Cydia stuffs. If some reasons some of the stuffs are not installed after restoring from Pkgbackup restore, then you will have to install it manually.

aptbackup or pkgbackup will restore all your cydia apps and themes.

what about my apps from **********? does they just get backed up via iTunes?
