Unlocking a 3g on 4.1: Latest?

I've just bought a 3g which is presently locked to AT&T with 4.1. I'm in the UK, so obviously for it to be of any use I'll need to unlock it.

What's the latest news on this? I know 4.1 is JB'd on the 3g, but is anyone anywhere near to unlocking it?

I got the phone cheap, on the chance that a unlock will be out soonish, obviously if that don't happen I'll sell it on Ebay and ship it to the US, where it will be usable. But, well, you know, it'd be nice to get it unlocked in the near future and use it in the UK.

Sweet. Might indeed turn out to be a good buy! Just have to hope I don't need to activate it before jailbreaking and unlocking.
