Another JailBreak question...

Sorry guys, I know you get a ton of these on here. I have a 3gS Serial 879411... I want to upgrade to iOS4. It was Jailbroken fine with iOS3.x . I am having the same problem a few people seem to be having, and that is mobile substate keeps crashing when jailbroken with green poison and redsnow. I keep trying with snowbreeze, but I keep running into itunes errors and cannot get past waiting for... on iREB. All versions are most recent. Where do I stand with this? What needs to get done for this to work?

"Reflective Dock" does not seem to play well with iOS4, that seems to be why I kept getting mobile substrate crashes. I jailbroke with limerain and now my 3GS with iOS4 seems to be running fine. I added reflective dock and that caused a crash, removed it and now no problems.

Try using Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 to get you into dfu mode and then shift + restore to cusom fw. You must have itunes 10 too.

what should I use to create the custom firmware? Snowbreeze?

edit: nope, gives me an itunes error.

Did you use iREB to dismiss the error?

So you're already on 4.1, you're just waiting to jailbreak? You can try limera1n if greenpois0n didn't work for you.

Use Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 to put you into DFU mode and restore to custom firmware of 4.1 from Pwnage tools 4.1.2

You must have itunes atleast 9.2
