Default Anyone else having awful battery life on iPhone 3GS 4.1?

I recently updated a bunch of phones to 4.1 with PwnageTool 4.1.2

The phones seemed to be fine and normal before this (no multitasking?) but on 4.1 they drain battery like crazy. They can go from 100% to empty in like 12 hours with absolutely no use. I've even had one drain from full to empty WHILST BEING TURNED OFF!!!

I have no idea what's causing this, has anyone else seen this issue and found a fix? Since it's 4.1 I suspect it's either, HDR photography, Game Center or multitasking (though that doesn't explain the phone draining whilst turned off :S)

    Any tips would be appreciated

I have a JB iOS 4.1 iPhone 4 using ultrasn0w with the same problem. What I discovered is that when push and notifications are ON, battery goes crazy drained, the iPhone gets even warm... If I turn push and notifications OFF, battery goes normal, but I cant access internet (crazy hum)... Im using sbsettings and installed push and notifications toggles so I can use internet when I need... thats my answer to the problem... hope iOS 4.2 jb solve this...

If that is the case the battery may because of hacktivation not causing push notifications to work. Try push doctor in cydia to fix push notifications and that may help battery life. You can find it on this repo: http://www.cmdshft.ipwn.me/apt/
