in need of serious help, cannot jailbreak

I had my iphone 3gs jailbroken restored the original firmware but now i cannot jailbreak it anymore, limerain stays in DFU mode and does not finish and greenpoison keep failing, and i need to keep restoring the original firmware

please give me some guidance Please

Try using GreenPoison RC3 to jailbreak

Hi yeow202, after a 100 tries i did a jailbreak with limera1n but i couldn't download anything from cydia, it kept telling me to upgrade 2 files but when i tried i kept getting host unreachable.

but the jailbreaking was done in a very weird way, i was in dfu mode and stuck there i started to click the power button and home together and all of the sudden the limera1n icon appeared on my phone but i think something got corrupted as when i turned the phone on i got a message on disk space almost full when i have nothing on my phone as well as the cydia problems, also when i serched in cydia for apps like winterboard the result was always empty.

I am restoring again

Setup as a new iphone if you are doing a restore again, if the first time limera1n doesn't do it , then make it ra1n again.

restored and did not set up a new iphone but did not synced with my old back up, jst exit itume and run the limerain, jailbreak went fine and fast but when i go to instally cydia is telling me to to check my internet connection urgh , in the settings is telling me that i am connected to my router but on top of the screen cannot see the wifi strengh i only see 3g

any idea?

Go and do a forget the network and key in your wep for the router again on the iphone.

Setting > wifi > touch the blue arrow of your connection > forget the network.

i did taht but still nothing, cydia has problems on uploading the packages, after few reloads i was able to update essentials, searched for winterboard and found it but when i installed it i got erros: bigboss.com unreachable saurik host unreachable, and couple of host unreachable.

yesterday was all working fine, i knew was to good to be true

You will notice that if you have shsh blogs, it is now showing up again on the front page of Cydia. The other hosts is probably still down.

so you thinks is normal the errors I am getting trying to download winterboard? I did a new install with redsn0w and cydia is running smoothly, i although still got the wifi icon missing, but in settings says i am connected to the router, while i was typing i was able to download winterboard, so far is going all well, thank you for all your help so far but probably will still need some help. :P

Winterboard not downloading is not normal. Did you use Limera1n ?

Why don't you try using GreenPoison RC3 to jailbreak.

OR restore to Pwnage tools 4.1.2. You can use Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 for pc to put you into DFU mode and then restore to custom firmware created by Pwnage tools.

used redsnow and I was able to update cydia and download winterboard, still having problems to understand if i am using my wi-fi or my phone provider to download stuff as the wifi icon is not appearing but i was able to get access to the phone directories with winSCP using wifi, so that should mean that i am connected although the dowload speed of the iphone is strangely slow so i don't know what to think

Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 is still buggy. Why didn't you use GP RC3 or Limera1n or even Custom firmware. Your idevice is a 3gs, right ?

Don't they use all the same exploit from gehot? With my first jailbreak with limerain I used to get loads of errors with the redsnow jailbreak I am not but with redsnow I cannot add sources to cydia while I could with limerain. Is thee any ways to install apps from the pc to the iPhone?
