HELP with iphone 3G 4.1

Hi Everyone I just registered, and looking for help immediately I am trying to jailbreak my iphone 3g with 4.1, and I have not been successful with greenposi0n, redsn0w, and the others. When I go to download the file, and try to open it up to do the jailbreak the program freaks, and opens a billion windows, and locks up my computer. I am looking for help??

I am running windows vista

if you are on official 4.1 then there is no unlock for your phone at this time. have u tried limera1n and pwnagetool?

I know of not having an unlock as of right now. As far as trying limera1n I have, but found out that it doesn't work for iphone 3g. I was able to download limera1n, and start it,but it kept getting stuck in DFU mode..wait in the program

Pawnage tool? isnt that for mac?

You can only jailbreak but not unlock. Redsn0w 0.9.6b2 doesn't really work, no Cydia icon after the jailbreak.
The only way to jailbreak your 3g is to downgrade to 3.1.2, jailbreak it with Redsn0w and then restore to a custom firmware created by Snowbreeze 2.0.2 to get you to jailbroken 4.1 firmware.

I couldn't even get Redsn0w, Greenposi0n... to even open up. I was able to download these, but as soon as I clicked them to open up I started getting a bunch of internet windows popping up, and it freezes up my computer.

WHY is this happening?

If you are talking about the pops up of internet, it is due to your computer, you must have antivirus installed to prevent viruses which we don't deal with.

oh yeah that's right, sorry, yes pwnagetool is for mac but you can google a custom ipsw created with it

If you want go ahead and put your iphone into DFU mode
Do the Shift + restore to 3.1.2 ipsw
Error 1015 pops up
Exit recovery from the feature of Tiny umbrella.
Run Redsn0w 0.9.4 to jailbreak your iphone
Now you are jailbroken at 3.1.2
Next Step
Download ireb 4.1 and download Snowbreeze 2.0.2 from here :

Download the official firmware of 4.1 from here : iClarified - iPhone - Where To Download iPhone Firmware Files From
Run Snowbreeze in Expert mode, uncheck activate my iphone , build your custom firmware and will be named Snowbreeze_4.1.ipsw on your desktop.
Now having your iphone being plug in.
Run ireb 4.1 , you will be then put to DFU mode
Now Do the Shift + Restore to Snowbreeze_4.1.ipsw
Now you are at emergency screen
Put your official sim card in or if you left it in the whole time , then it is fine
You are now at Home Screen and jailbroken at 4.1

Make sure you also have Itunes 10

I was able to jailbreak my 3G with Redsn0w 0.9.6b1 and Cydia was installed.......
