Question Jailbreak question: Currently on 4.0.1

I am currently still on 4.0.1, and have been waiting for 4.2. I've been reading a lot about saving 4.1 SHSH blobs in Cydia as well as TinyUmbrella.

My question is, do I need to upgrade to 4.1 and jailbreak and save my SHSH blobs? Or can I just stay on 4.0.1?

I just don't want to have to update and jailbreak, only to have to do it all over again in a few days.

Just download TinyUmbrella and check Advanced Options, select "your device 4.1" and click Save SHSH.

You don't need to be on 4.1 to do this.

You dont have to go into advanced anymore with the new tiny umbrella. The Save SHSH button will save for all firmwares that SHSH is available for the device.

SHSH and your current firmware are two separate things! Definitely save your 4.1 SHSH soon using TinyUmbrella... you're not required to be jailbroken or on that particular firmware to get the one that Apple is signing.

EDIT: Sorry so late, I had the message typed and forgot to hit post reply until later.
