yep, by using a custom ipsw that is activated, google is your friend
In the end we're all just chalk lines on the concrete, drawn only to be washed away. For the time that I've been given, I am what I am.

If you do not know what version is on your iphone , you can press this
*3001#12345#*
If it is not 3.1.3, put your iphone into recovery and hit restore in itunes.
Then read this, you can hactivate, jailbreak and unlock without a sim

I tried pressing *3001#12345#* but it doesn't seem to respond when I press the call button!

tiny umbrella or f0recast can also tell you what firmware your iphone is on without being activated.

I tried using the FW but it always ends up being in DFU!
Is there another way?
