stalls if in sleep mode a while

ive noticed if my phone is in sleep mode for quite a while that when i press the home button, it takes a longtime for it to respond. also when i recieve a tex, it beeps but it doesnt show on the screen till 2 seconds later. any ideas on why my phone is acting up? its a 3gs on 3.1.3 jb'd.

Your phone may be bogging down a bit. Usually jailbroken phones tend to do that after awhile. Maybe a fresh restore will give it life again. If you have SHSHs for 3.1.3 then you can go back to it again.

If you have sbSettings, You can if you wish-free up memory and you can attach that to your status bar to view. Cydia is a pig on memory for 3GS.

yes i have shsh in cydia. i did a restore just now but i loaded my backups and now my pics, contacts, etc is all gone!! any idea how to get it back?
