Default Thinking of downgrading from 4.1

Im thinking of going back to the last version of 3.xx. What features would I loose by doing so? And also where can I find the files to do it? Thanks!

Folders, GameCenter, native multitask, and wallpaper. If iPhone 4, also HDR photo taking. Possibly battery life cuz 4.1 is supposed to increase it (supposedly).

Need SHSH blobs to downgrade if 3GS or iPhone 4. Use TinyUmbrella or check Cydia for SHSHs. If 3G phone or iPod Touch 1G (any other iPod Touch also needs SHSHs) then just download a 3.1.x ipsw and shift+restore to it. Use iReb to bypass any errors during restore.

Edit: sorry not iReb, Tinyumbrella or Recboot to bypass errors like 1015 or 1004

Its a 3G so the battery life and speed are so much worse. The only things I like about 4.1 is the folders and wallpaper. Can I get these features with apps on 3.xx?

Categories for 3.xx is like folders of ios 4.0, put iphone into DFU mode and shift + Restore to 3.xx and use kick out of recovery from TU.

If you want speed and performance, 3G should be at its best at 3.1.3. You can tell if you have enabled memory status bar from sbsettings, you will see that your usable memory is only about 40 to 50 and if you have a few apps opened, then it keeps dropping until it freezes up.

It is just like a computer, if you only have 128 mb of ram as compared to 256 mb of ram.

You can still stay at 4.1 but you have to disable multitask, and monitor your memory usage before it goes too low.

I used my 3G on 3.1.3 even when 4.0 all the way to 4.1 came out. Never upgraded it cuz I went and unlocked a couple of phones for a guy with 2 iPhone 3G and they were slow as hell. One was on 4.0.1 and the other on 4.1 wasn't that bad. I just knew mine on 3.1.3 before I sold it was way faster.

If you're really concerned about speed, from my personal experience, 3.1.3 is a lot faster. 4.1 is faster than 4.0.x but still a tad slower than 3.1.3 because of the added features. Although disabling the features might help, but if you're gonna do that might as well downgrade to 3.1.x where all Cydia apps actually function

Btw Winterboard will allow you to customize and add wallpapers and more to your phone.
