    Default can i use pkgbackup to backup for my iphone 4

    , ive got a 3g and am upgrading to ip4 , will the program save it to a file i can tranfer to my ip4????

    It saves it into your restore back up I believe. So you'd have to restore the new phone with the back up from the old phone then run pkgbackup to reinstall everything to the new phone.

    You do the pkgbackup first, Run backup, sync with iTunes , then restore, setup as new iPhone , jailbreak, install pkgbackup and restore backup

    I had some quirks with that very situation. Pkgbackup saves the data to a contacts entry, specifically the 'notes' section of the entry and if is named using the phone's serial (or ecid). In my case the contacts entry name is:

    Pkg_526d8ad929530d......... Etc.

    When you switch phones, because if different I'd, it won't see the backup data, you need to run pckbackup once and do a backup on the new phone then copy the 'notes' section from your original phone's backup over the notes section of your newly created entry.

    After that just run it again and do your restore.
