Help my iphone 4 is stuck in boot

Hello guys. I have an iphone 4 and i was doing some stuff on it. It was netatalk stuff. And i was supposed to reboot afterwards. When i did, the phone was stuck on boot screen and won't boot up or shut off. I have quite a bunch of information on it and was wondering if there is anyway to fix it, with out restoring. If there is none, how do i restore do i have to turn it on and do it from boot screen or do it when it is off. I know how to restore from then. Please please help.

Put it in recovery mode and restore again, you will require shsh blogs from Cydia to restore any firmware where Apple is not currently signing.
