Jailbreak and Unlock Double-Check

Want to Upgrade to 4.0.1
Carrier: T-Mobile

I know there's a few jailbreaks for 4.0. : RedSn0w
Unlock: UltraSn0w


I backed up my SHSH Blobs on cydia - or so it says it did, not sure how'd I restore it if need be.


Is this all I need or should I do something more? Want to make sure I don't brick my phone in the process.

Just create a custom 4.1 firmware with Sn0wbreeze 2.0.2. Then shift+restore to it.

You don't want 4.0.x on your 3G, it's very laggy. 4.1 runs much better.

the JailbreakInfo Guide says iPhone 3G cant unlocked with 4.1

Annie ask you to restore to Custom firmware created by Snowbreeze 2.0.2 is because , it will preserve your baseband.

Download ireb 4.1 and follow the instruction to put you into DFU mode and then restore to custom firmware of 4.1 built by Snowbreeze 2.0.2.
If you have the official sim, then uncheck activate my iphone while creating the custom firmware. Use your valid sim to activate it, then you won't have any issue

The jb PDF guide isn't up to date for 4.1. I made the edits and adjustments in the original post up top. Just follow what Yeow said and you'll be fine.
