    Default Restore without update

I just bought an iPhone 4 running 4.0. It was used so I'd like to do a restore, but when I go to iTunes and hit restore it says it will update to 4.1. HELP? Thanks!

thats because u cant restore to 4.0 that way...only way is if ur shsh was backed up (shsh is a file that is used to restore to that giving firmware) when u go to itunes and hit restore only the latest firmware will be available which is 4.1...now if ur using tmobile on your handset then your best option is to use tiny umbrella to update to 4.1 without updating your baseband..then jailbreak via greenpois0n or limera1n....or wait till tomorrows pwnage if you have a mac and want to do it easier
