Cydia on iPhone Simulator
Hi, I just downloaded the latest dev programs from Apple's website (Xcode, Dashcode, iPhone Simulator, etc.) and I love the iPhone Simulator. I grabbed Cydia from my JBd iPod touch (4.0) and loaded Cydia into the simulator. However, when it opens, it crashes. I think this is because I have 4.0 on my iPod and the sim has 4.1. Is there a way to get Cydia on it and working? Or does someone have JBd 4.1 with Cydia that they can send me so that I can test it? Thanks!
My Stuff:
MacBook Pro 13" 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, Mac OS X 10.6.7 | Mac OS X 10.7
iPhone 4 CDMA (Verizon) 4.2.8 - Jailbroken (redsn0w)
Saving for:
iPad (1 or 2, not sure) Wi-Fi 16 GB

I dont think it has anything to do with the iOS verison. The Cydia.app is compiled in ARM code for the actual iPhone while trying to run the Cydia.app on a Intel CPU. I might be wrong though. But this usually helps: Set the permissions to 775. (If possible)

Maybe make a custom a firmware with PwnageTool and load the custom firmware onto the Simulator.

How do you restore the custom firmware with the simulator?
