Need Help 2.1 (5F136)

HI I have the iphone 4 and I have it jailbroken no problem but a friend asked me tonight if I can unlock/jailbreak this one for him.

It's version 2.1(5F136).

He need's it unlocked and I'm not sure what I should do?

Does this mean it's an iphone 2 or 3?


Can I just unlock and jailbreak at it's current version or do I have to upgrade and to what.?

I'm assuming it can could someone steer me in the correct direction.

It's older so I want to make sure I don't mess things up.

okay thanks question is when I upgrade will it not upgrade to 4.1

No, the highest it can go is 3.1.3 for a 2g iphone

So if I understand correctly when I hook it up to itunes it will only upgrade it to 3.13 So jailbreak and unlocking it will be no issue

Yes, that is correct, you don't even need a sim to do it, jailbroken and unlocked for life.
